It's My Resentment, and I'll Hold Onto It If I Want To....("It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To")

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: (replacing "quote of the day" this week due to my absence):

Jars Of Clay — Portrait Of An Apology lyrics

Look what I've done
This picture I've painted
It looks like my heart
Or what still remains
Convinced of the weight
Your interpretations
Are not what I see
I wish they could be
I remember it much redder
I remember it much brighter

Chorus: Can you stay for a while
Try to imagine this
Could you be for a while
I can't remember it
Could you fall for a while
I can't escape from this
I'll try to explain
The way that the frame
Doesn't quite fit the image
Or surround the edge
It stands on display
What do you see?
Behold all the new grey
What's become of the old me
I remember it much redder
I remember it much brighter
[
Chorus]
Calling, crying, ashamed of what I am not
Really failing, falling into this cage and
I can't escape
I can't escape
Look what I've done
This picture I've painted
Doesn't quite fit
Or surround the edge I remember it much redder

[Chorus] I can't escape,
I can't escape,
I can't escape

WEBPAGE OF THE DAY:
http://www.lyricsfreak.com/j/jars+of+clay/portrait+of+an+apology_20069972.html

I took a trip to visit two of my children for a week. Sarah was in a serious car accident and requires detailed dental surgery. We thought her lung was collapsed, but it turns out there is some kind of mass in there which at this point is unidentified. Like a mom does, I made sure I left them groceries, money, and paid the cost of my stay. It was really hard to leave. It's funny how more love and affection seem to flow when there's only a couple of hours left of a visit.

Though the following webpage has little to do with the content of this blog, I wanted to be true to form for this blog however I manage this week.
