"Old habits die hard."--Old Wives' Tale
For personal growth one needs eight, count 'em, eight hugs a day. This helps people not regress into depression. Depression is a deep sadness that lasts for more than two weeks. Repression could be the next step for some people if they have not been used to dealing with their emotions appropriately. It keeps people from realizing their sin of not letting God know them. Dysfunction abounds in our culture,so who really has a handle on his emotions? We,as a culture, have not been taught how. Jesus was so right when He asked the Father to "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." Indeed, we don't. Thank you, God, for your love, grace, and mercy. We love you with all that we are.

Breaking Up is Hard to Do
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "The thief comes not except to steal and to kill and to destroy."
I have been distracted lately and have not written in my "Dear Diary Blog" because I'm dealing and defeating emotional attacks brought on by Satan to thwart and buffet me and steal my peace and joy. Well, I still have those things inside and want to have even greater confidence in Him to show that fruit on the outside.
This time, my heart got broken in a supposedly exclusive relationship and I was lashing out in anger instead of being real and being honestly hurt. Well, as soon as I got real, so did the other party, whom I care for very much. We were together a long time in my book, so it hurts. We (?) are trying to preserve the friendship; it just gets difficult when there are certain types of difficulties, like not telling the WHOLE truth to one another (yes both, to hide our ugly insides). Anger still rises up within me and I am reminded to focus my eyes back on Christ. Emotions can be REALLY TRICKY (the green-headed monster is soooo ugly)!!!!!!!! It is not easy to repair rifts, but it is God's will for us. Well God knows all about us. And I believe we are forgiven.
When will we truly manifest what is really going on with the Christ in us?
He is ultimately and absolutely perfect.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!!!!

David was a man after God's own heart
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "DO NOT CONSIDER HIS APPEARANCE, OR HIS HEIGHT, FOR I HAVE REJECTED HIM. tHE LORD DOES NOT LOOK AT THE THINGS MAN LOOKS AT. MAN LOOKS AT THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE, BUT THE LORD LOOKS AT THE HEART."

David was a man after God’s own heart. When Samuel was sent out to look for the next King for
Israel, he went to the house of Jesse who thought so little of David that Jesse did not even consider presenting him to Samuel as a possible choice. Jesse paraded his oldest, his best looking, and his smartest sons, that is to say, his other sons. Samuel who saw that none of them was the one God was seeking, so Samuel asked if there was anyone else. Then, and only then, did Jesse present David. Immediately upon seeing this young shepherd, Samuel announced, “He is the one.” David was a small teenaged boy, an an unlikely candidate, but God saw more than that.
God chooses what the world discards and does not value. God is the One who saw David’s heart. Our God sees in secret and He rewards in the open. We each have a calling. We may be anointed, but not released for appointment. But we are to act in our calling. So we keep on doing what we are called to do. It is tempting to put ourselves in positions of so-called importance and to rely on our natural strengths. Only God can do this appropriately with His perfect and right timing. He will anoint and He will appoint. If there is any retribution required God is our vindicator when the time is right. (No apology necessary then.)
I feel like an unlikely candidate sometimes. But I know I should battle through these negative thoughts and press into the victory of our Savior Jesus. David made God proud, erven though David made mistakes along the way in life. He always apologized and kept his relationship with God clean. There was much respect between them. I cling to the hope that He will be proud of me one day.

JESUS LOVES YOU
We believe that God can give us the most abundant and purposeful life possible on this earth through His son, Jesus Christ. Every human being was created by God Himself, for a love relationship that would satisfy us deeply and glorify God. Sin threw a huge wrench in the works, blocking that ideal relationship between God and us. In His love and mercy, God has a solution for sin. He pursues each of us, first giving us a deep desire for Himself, then showing us the “wrench” (our sin — “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23). He made a way to get that wrench out, so His love can fill us up and we can respond to Him. Sin incurs a huge debt that must be paid. Not with money, but blood! “Without shedding of blood there is no remission (of sin)” Hebrews 9:22. Sinless and perfect, Jesus spilled His blood on the cross, died and rose again.
So, the price is paid in full! Its so humbling to let someone else pay our debt, but it’s a debt we all owe and are unable to pay. God has a deep love for you — are you experiencing it? You can talk to Him about it right now — He listens and acts on behalf of everyone who humbly and sincerely approaches Him in faith. “God demonstrates His own love towards us in this, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. Confess your sin and ask Him to get that wrench out of the works so you can be connected to the One who knows you best and loves you the most! Romans 6:23 says “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Turning away from sin and towards Jesus in repentance opens you up to receive all He is into your life! When we realize how sinful we are and turn from that to Jesus, He is right there to pick us up, clean us off and call us His own children! Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life John 5:24. But as many as received him, to them He gave the right to become children of God… John 1:12. He is listening for you. Pour out your heart to Him and He will be true to His word.
