"Old habits die hard."--Old Wives' Tale
For personal growth one needs eight, count 'em, eight hugs a day. This helps people not regress into depression. Depression is a deep sadness that lasts for more than two weeks. Repression could be the next step for some people if they have not been used to dealing with their emotions appropriately. It keeps people from realizing their sin of not letting God know them. Dysfunction abounds in our culture,so who really has a handle on his emotions? We,as a culture, have not been taught how. Jesus was so right when He asked the Father to "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." Indeed, we don't. Thank you, God, for your love, grace, and mercy. We love you with all that we are.

The Sword of the Lord and of Gideon
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"As the sword of the best-tempered metal is the most flexible; so the truly generous are the most pliant and courteous in their behavior to their inferiors." --Fuller
I believe we must always remember our "status" is only superficial. We each came into this world with nothing. It is what we have been blessed to make of our lives that makes us look like something different or better than someone else--all of our blessings come from God. Everything belongs to Him and we are simply here to steward those belongings. Making Him our whole lives will bring continued blessings we can give to others as an example of the generosity of our Father in Heaven.
No one is better than anyone. To treat another human being otherwise is reprehensible.
Forgive yourself if you have been the unkindly instrument of someone else's pan. They will,in time, be able to forgive you. And in Christ, you are already forgiven. Turn back to the One who gave you life and begin anew. Every moment before this one is behind you. It is forgotten.
What a wonderful opportunity to move ahead full steam and give the good we have been given.
Jesus Christ forgave even the ones who crucified him and put him to death. We can forgive people for what can only be much less than that.
