Thank you, Bob, Al-Anon, and Dear Abby for the practical reminder.

"The Way has long taught "the law of believing." Because Wierwille acquired this idea from men like Albert Cliffe (who was a spiritist, not a Christian), he used a lot of jargon which cannot be found in the Bible, such as "believing equals receiving," "get your needs and wants parallel," "believing works for saint and sinner alike" and "positive" and "negative" believing. It is a purely human effort, since God is not involved (it is even practiced effectively by atheists). The person is believing that something will happen, not that God will cause something to happen." Retrieved January 6, 2010 from http://empirenet.com/~messiah7/vp_DEATH.htm

I used to associate myself with a ministry called The Way International. It has become known as a cult due to its untraditional views of the Bible. I learned a lot from it, though, like lots of bible veses, the armour by which we are protected from the adversary. We must follow God's ways or there are natural consequences. Keeping God's Word in our personal arsenal is just spiritually savvy. God respects His own Word and He is true to Himself, so the laws He sets up will not change, and we can count on that. The only sure things are not "death and taxes". God's Word is more sure than that. It is rock solid. I consider myself in some ways to be recovering from experiences in life where I had let the adversary in. We are responsible for our own choices. So, presented before me today is this day and I can live "Just For Today". (Thank you, Bob, Al-Anon, and Dear Abby for the practical reminder.)
