"THERE IS THEREFORE NOW NO CONDEMNATION TO THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "THERE IS THEREFORE NOW NO CONDEMNATION TO THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS." (Emphasis mine)

DEAR BLOG, I HAVE BEEN EXAMINING MY MOTIVES AND UNDERLYING THEMES OF DISTURBED THOUGHT IN MY MIND LATELY. ALL OF IT SEEMS TO STEM FROM AN IDENTITY ISSUE DIRECTLY RELATED TO NOT BELIEVING WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT ME--IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THIS IS EVERYONE'S ISSUE. SELF-DEPRACATING HUMOR ARISES FROM A LACK OF SELF IN CHRIST. I FIND THIS OCCURS IN CHRISTIANS MANY TIMES. I FIND I OWE PEOPLE APOLOGIES WHERE I HAVE NOT THOUGHT WELL OF THEM AND NOT ASCRIBED DIGNITY TO THEM. IT'S NOT AS IF THEY ARE ANY MORE WRONG THAN I--IT'S THAT THE WRONG THEY HAVE DONE AFFECTED ME. I CAN BE SO SELFISH. (A record plays in my head over and over and over. It sneaks up on us if we are not careful and I have not been careful.) Sometimes I just HATE being human, a being that must rely on God. Other times I embrace it--oh, let this be more and more.
