QUOTE OF THE DAY: "God wants us to be real; it's important that we get real with God."

I have been remiss about blogging daily--just too busy with work, college papers due, meetings, church activities, and wow!, life.

A man who is near and dear to me, (let's just call him E) had a wonderful victory in his life today!! I am happy for him cautiously, because I do not want to see him get hurt--he's had enough of that in his life! As have his loved ones. He has met "the one". It would be great if they both returned to Christ so their relationship had a fighting chance. Right now I think it's just powered by heightened intensity of passion. I do sincerely wish him and her all the best!!

I also do not know what it would be like to have a parent pass away--but he has experienced both his mom's and dad's losses. There are other reasons this dear friend could experience hurt so I pray for him and ask others to pray. And please pray for me right now--my emotions are rather tender.

Another friend, J. and I have been in communication ever since my daughter was in the car wreck. He always thought of my kids as his kids and vice versa. We raised them together without ever living together. It was a beautiful thing! I asked him to pray for Sarah and before you know it we were talking about getting back together. Now this is a little bit of speculation; however, it is very serious on his part, and since I am just coming out of the afore-and-above- mentioned relationship, I want to take it slowly, but I AM excited!! I want things for me to be different this time. Why does it take so long to heal?? So frustrating sometimes how we are made. It must be that God wants us to be completely dependent upon Him! But as my Pastor Jim always puts it, "Thanks for being real!" Thank God I can do that now! And thank Him I know how much better! "There is therefore now NO condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.--Romans 8:1 (King James Version Bible)
