QUOTE OF THE DAY: "What do you do? I collect hobbies!" --"The Brothers Bloom" (movie)
Let's take a look at what apology is and what an apology accomplishes for someone. Only in passing did I ever think that people would not know what an apology was. In fact, I knew someone who was very close to me for a long time, who could not any better than a robot apologize. I just knew he did not really FEEL IT . It was so frustrating because I would still forgive and it made me not really feel it, either. It just became this cycle that was unbroken until I took myself permanently out of the situation. Even then the devil went to work to say to each of us, I'm sure, that we were definitely past it. Well, as for me, I attempted to resolve the situation to discuss the matter. It was not a welcome event hearing from me. I was nearly abused from making the effort. I walked away from it feeling confused back then, and frankly, pretty foolish. It is alright, I decided, to work this case out on my own and not be public about it in person with this person privately, but keep it to myself. Since I know his response at nearly every turn, and I have not EVER been more successful in communicating ANYTHING to him EVER, I chose to save myself the difficulty.

Imagine if you will without serious details a tragedy occurring in your life. Perhaps you have lost a loved one to death through the fault of another person. How hard would it be to forgive that person? I think pretty hard--even for the best of us. The article above is excellent.
